Description

PIONEER SG-9800 is a stereo 12 element graphic equalizer with tape monitor, manufactured in 1980. This graphic equalizer divides the audio frequency spectrum into 12 segments from 16hz to 32khz and the each segment corresponding to an octave. It has a individual control for each segments, hence it provides an continuous adjustment from -10db to 10db and allows the sound to be contoured in order to compensate speaker characteristics, listening room acoustics.
